reinterpreting classic men’s and womenswear codes, producing work that is TAILORING FOCUSED and HERITAGE DRIVEN

Daiquan Robinson’s work is a dialogue between heritage and tailoring; reinterpreting classic men’s and womenswear codes through cultural narratives. Raised in Brooklyn, NY, in a Jamaican household, his work often explores his identity by merging his American and Jamaican heritage, referencing contemporary art, fine art, literature, and cinema. Daiquan’s intense curiosity manifests in his passion for deep research; the discoveries made during the early stages of the design process form the foundation of his work. Building a strong, research-driven base for each collection gives his designs a refined yet expressive aesthetic.

His education began at the High School of Fashion Industries and continues at Parsons School of Design, where he has developed his skills in garment construction, technical design, Adobe Creative Suite, and CLO 3D. Beyond the classroom, he has built industry experience as a Production Assistant at Tome NYC, a womenswear brand, and at RRC Apparel Group, an apparel production company. Currently, he leads visual merchandising for a Banana Republic Factory Store while completing his degree in fashion design.
